Holly Leaf Christmas Decoration

Holly Leaf Christmas Decoration

We're all used to seeing holly leaves and berries at Christmastime, but did you know the Christian symbolism behind the use of holly for Christmas decorations? The evergreen leaves represent our hope of eternal life in Christ; the sharp points of the leaves represent the crown of thorns from Jesus' Passion; and the red berries represent Christ's blood which was shed for our salvation.

Sr Amata was inspired by the traditional symbolism of the holly plant in designing these decorations. Each one is hand-crocheted and carefully sewn together, with contrasting detailing added to the leaves. The red berries are crocheted in sparkly yarn, to give them an extra pop on your Christmas tree!

These decorations are beautiful and timeless and are perfect to be cherished for Christmas celebrations in years to come.
